The Rochester Rhinos of the USL Pro Division are off to a solid start in the 2012 campaign. The Rhinos are in third place with 22 points and only 2 points out of second place and 7 points out of first. Lead by goalkeeper Kristian Nicht, who started the season with six straight shutouts and player of the week honors. JC Banks a rising star leads the Rhinos with 7 points on 2 goals and 3 assists with 21 shots. Two players are among the league leaders in minutes played. Tyler Rosenlund has logged 1112 minutes so far this season, and Troy Roberts has played an impressive 1170 minutes, which leads the team.

The Rhinos look forward to a strong second half of the season and are legitimate contenders to win the league title. Defensively the Rhinos have been among the leagues best and look to continue producing more clean sheets. Offensively, the Rhinos will need to score with greater frequency and consistency if they hope to catch the two teams ahead of them in the standings. The overall team play and chemistry is extremely solid and gives the Rhinos management a solid foundation to build on for the future.
